Amorphis To Release New Album Next Year, Announces Tour Dates

Finland's Amorphis has issued the following announcement about upcoming tour dates and releasing a new album next year:

"In December, Amorphis will play seven club shows in Finland. The dates are as follows:

05.12. Oulu, Teatria
06.12. Jyväskylä, Lutakko
07.12. Seinäjoki, Rytmikorjaamo
12.12. Helsinki, Tavastia
13.12. Pori, Bar Kino
14.12. Turku, Klubi
29.12. Tampere, Pakkahuone

"Recordings for the eleventh Amorphis album will start in September at Petrax Studios in Hollola and 5K Studios in Helsinki. Lyrics will again be crafted by Pekka Kainulainen, who already collaborated with Amorphis on the previous three albums.

"The new album will be produced and recorded by Peter Tägtgren (Abyss Studio, Hypocrisy, Pain et al.) and released worldwide by Nuclear Blast in spring 2013.

"Finnish fans might want to check out this new interview by Soundi Magazine to find out what Esa has to say about the new album..."

The upcoming new album will follow the last Amorphis full-length "The Beginning of Times" (reviewed here). Additional info will be announced as it is made avialable.
