Upon Wings Offering New Single "The Dream" As Free Download

Symphonic metal act Upon Wings is offering its debut single, “The Dream,” for free download via the band’s Facebook profile now through July 8th at 11:59 p.m. EST, as a 4th of July giveaway. The song will appear on the group’s upcoming, as-yet-untitled release. Simply “like” the page in order to gain access to the track.

Upon Wings recently entered the Johnny K-owned Groovemaster Studios in Chicago -- where Disturbed, Anthrax, Art of Dying, and more have recorded -- to work on the new release, which is slated to drop this fall. The release will feature a guest vocalist and producer from a prominent hard rock supergroup, whom the band will announce in the coming weeks.

“The Dream” was produced by Grammy-nominated engineer, mixer and producer Glenn Brown, whose credits include various work on projects for Kid Rock and Iggy Pop, among others. Upon Wings hails from the U.S. and can be described as symphonic metal with a classical influence. The group is fronted by classically-trained mezzo soprano Anne Erickson, who is also a music journalist for Gannett, Gibson, Loudwire, Banana 101.5 and radio host and managing editor of Audio Ink Radio.
