Eluveitie To Release 10th Anniversary Collection "The Early Years"
Swiss folk masters Eluveitie will celebrate the band's 10th Anniversary this year by releasing a 2CD digipak entitled "The Early Years" containing the debut full length "Spirit" along with the newly re-recorded version of the debut release/EP "Vên." The band are currently re-recording the EP with Coroner guitarist Tommy Vetterli (a/k/a Tommy T. Baron) at Newsound Studio. "The Early Years" is slated for an August 17, 2012 release date through Nuclear Blast.
Frontman Chrigel Glanzmann commented on the release: " 'The Early Years' will give both old and new fans access to the very first steps in Eluveitie’s history. I can't believe it’s been ten years already! Speaking of that, to celebrate our ten year anniversary (2002-2012) we wanted to offer you something special. Therefore we have decided to re-record the tracks of our first EP Vên! We had a lot of fun putting those songs on tape again – some of which we have been playing live to this day and that have developed together with us over all these years."
