Final Depravity Announces New Drummer Jerome Reil

German thrash act Final Depravity has issued the following announcement about recruiting a new drummer:

"Today we proudly present you our new drummer: please welcome Jerome Reil! Replacing Tristan Maiwurm, who left us in January in order to concentrate on studying drums in the Netherlands, Jerome has worked with us since February now. His last name might sound familiar - he’s the son of Kreator drummer Jürgen 'Ventor' Reil.

"We will finally enter the studio in July to record the follow-up to the 2010 album Nightmare 13, and present the new line-up live on stage for the first time at a show in Oberhausen, Germany on July 14. Due to the bankruptcy of Twilight Distribution Nightmare 13 is currently not available, but can be streamed in its entirety right here. The current promo-pics have been designed by Killustrations (Artworks for a.o. Dew-Scented, Nervecell, Hackneyed, The Very End and Night in Gales)."

Commented vocalist Dennis "Blaze" Baron: “Today’s announcement marks a big step forward for Final Depravity! Tristan’s exit in the middle of preparing a new album, though we all understood and supported his decision, could have turned out really bad.

"This made it even more important that our one and only candidate, Jerome Reil, really got stuck into the nitty-gritty from the word go, and the past couple of months with him have been a whole lot of productive fun.

"Apart from being a great guy anyway, Jerome’s drumming style is exactly what the band wants and his overall input even exceeds our expectations. We can’t wait to record the album with him and to wreck stages together soon!”

Jerome states: “Being and playing with these guys felt damn right from the very first rehearsal, and I almost instantly knew that this is what I wanna do from now on. I very much appreciate the warm welcome I have received by the band and its team, and I’m all excited to open up a brand new chapter of Ruhr Area thrash metal with these folks!”
