Rising West Denied Access To Queensryche Website And Facebook Page
Rising West, the new band comprised of Queensryche members Michael Wilton, Eddie Jackson, Scott Rockenfield and Parker Lundgren along with Crimson Glory vocalist Todd La Torre, were denied access to the Queensryche website and Facebook Page in an effort to promote the band's upcoming appearances and live events. In the latest post on the Rising West Facebook Page, the band stated:
"We are being denied access to our own facebook page and website (meaning Queensryche) so please spread the word for about Rising West. Rising West will be on KISW 99.9 this Thursday around 4:30. Thank you for your support and we hope to see you at our shows!"
This is just the latest in an unraveling situation in Queensryche camp where rumors have been circulating the web that vocalist Geoff Tate has had multiple altercations with the rest of the band, although these rumors have not been substantiated. Just after the announcement about the creation of Rising West, management for Queensryche issued a statement denying the rumors of internal issues with the band and stating the members will be pursuing other ventures for a while.
Over the recent Memorial Day weekend, the band played Rocklahoma at which time Tate told the crowd that "they suck." The incident was caught on video (see below):
Rising West will make its debut performances on June 8-9, 2012 at the Hard Rock Cafe in Seattle.
