The Rockstar Ramblings: Friday Fix

It’s Friday and we have new videos from I AM I, Dirty Glory, Jaded Heart, and a very special video clip from Dee Snider.

First up is the video for “Silent Genocide” from the band I AM I and their album ‘Event Horizon.’ A sleazy rocker that appears to take place in an abandoned prison, or any dilapidated building; where you may find many skulls lying around. This setting is more common that you would think (In the U.S. SEE: Trenton, NJ). IF this is a prison, it appears an old guy was left behind and he is now crazy, hooked up to machines, and doing a lot of screaming. Good News! The pain is short lived; there is a massive bomb explosion at the end of the video.

Dirty Glory, a band from Brazil has arrived with a video for “Mr. Jack” from their upcoming three-song EP. The video highlights the lead singers long leopard shirt (ala Steven Tyler) and bar hopping with a camera. The rule is apparently you either have to kiss the camera or show the devil horns. There is a lot of alcohol in the video; my favorite scene is when some of the boys “toast” outside of a bar, all toasters have Heinekens except for one guy holding a bottle of Jack Daniels. He was the bad ass of the night and also the most sick the next morning. I get the impression this is not a band that wakes up to many unfinished bottles of liquor. YOUTUBE comment from MrEstupiduh: “Jack Sparrow?”

German rockers Jaded Heart video for “With You” is from their upcoming album (their 11th studio album) titled ‘Common Destiny.’ There is a lot of smoke and water. This is what drumming in the Amazon would be like, if the Amazon was also on fire. A catchy chorus along with lots of anger via punching as the song moves along. My guess is that this is not a love story, at least not one with a happy ending, but rather punching, police, and jail cells.

Here we are: Dee Snider’s “Mack the Knife” from ‘Dee Does Broadway.’ I would love to see Dee Snider’s bucket list (crosses off: star in reality show, next line: Broadway!) just once. YOUTUBE comment from warrenginmartini: “As Essential as Debbie Does Dallas!” Let’s just leave it at that.
