Paradise Lost Enters The European Charts With "Tragic Idol"

British gothic metal veterans Paradise Lost have entered the album charts in several European countries with their latest studio album, "Tragic Idol" (reviewed here), their first studio release since 2009's, "Faith Divides Us - Death Unites Us." Amongst the entries are a top ten position in Germany and a top 100 place in their native British charts.

Commenting on the success, vocalist Nick Holmes stated: "Thanks to all our fans for buying our new album. It means a lot that you are still paying for music and not just stealing it – our wives and kids also appreciate it. Looking forward to see all of you on the tour!"

"Tragic Idol" has attained the following chart positions:

UK - # 2 (Rock Charts)
Germany - # 6
Austria - # 15
Switzerland - # 23
Czech Republic - # 27
France - # 30
US - # 32 (Top New Artists/Heatseeker Charts)
Denmark - # 33
UK - # 73 (Album Charts)
Belgium - # 77 (Flemish Charts)
Belgium - # 78 (Wallonian Charts)
Netherlands - # 85
