Polish metallers Decapitated are getting ready to kick off a North American tour providing support for label mates Meshuggah and Baroness. The tour launches April 29th in Houston, TX and runs to May 23rd in New York, NY.

Decapitated guitarist / founding member Vogg commented: "FUCK YEAH! Decapitated with Meshuggah! We're so proud and happy to be part of this amazing tour! It will be a huge honor to share one stage with such a great fuckin' band! Cannot wait!"

Decapitated's "Carnival Is Forever" (reviewed here) debuted at #11 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart last July and captured the #43 position on GuitarWorld.com's "Top 50 Albums of 2011" list.

Sorry to say this, I love Decapitated, but their flame passed when Sauron left. They are done. They have a bunch of scabs to fill the touring slots just to milk it. No one cares for them anymore. I have respect fir Vogg all the band accomplished over the years. And my heart is with their families due to tragedies, but as far as the brand. Its finished. Charish the classics (Winds through Negation). But sorry, GAME OVER!

@killcomplete: "No one cares for them anymore." Well I still do and am enjoying every bit of their new form. (And on this date and time, killcomplete's "research" was forever altered and redefined)

Ummm,i'll weigh in on this one. I actually really liked thier last album,Carnival Is Forever. Good effort. But live? When i saw them on Summer Slaughter a couple of years ago,i thought they were sloppy as sh*t. Pretty bad actually. Maybe they had a bad show,i dont know. But they weren't that good.
