The Great Sabatini Posts New Video Clip For "Napoleon Sodomite"

Canadian act The Great Sabatini has checked in with the following update about posting a new video clip online and posting an EP online for streaming:

"We've been sleeping on the newsletter thing... so much for regularity. Our excuse is a good one though... We've been busy chopping heads and throwing maidens over our shoulders, aka promoting our newest releases Matterhorn and The Royal We with our first string of dates around North America. Here's what else is new.

"The Mattehorn vinyl is still on the way. It's a bummer that we didn't have these in time for the dates in March but I'd rather not have them than have crappy sounding versions of them... the test pressings revealed some unwanted noises but this problem is being fixed. We will let all of you preorder people know as soon as we have the records and they are off to shipping. In the meantime, if you're so inclined, you can get a download of the album here or order the cdr (nicely put together by our concubines in the basement) from here.

"Our new EP, called The Royal We is available from our Bandcamp page or the No List Records Website, totally FREE. If you like this offering, please send it around and spread the word... the songs on there are our newest, freshest hymns to the Beast.

"Even though the record came out a year ago at this point, we have finally completed our video trilogy for the Napoleon Sodomit EP. We shot all the footage in October 2011 but preparations for birthing our 2 newest records and going out on tour in March kinda put the editing on timeout for a while. But here it is, a kind of low (meaning NO) budget short film comprised of all 3 songs from the Napoleon Sodomite record which makes little sense, but was a lot of fun to put together. Share the link for the video if you will, as we put a ton of hard work into writing, conceptualising, shooting and editing this fucking atrocity.

"We'll be playing here in Montreal this wednesday at Casa Del Popolo for the great Barn Burner for their vinyl release show. We are all super fuckin stoked for this shit. More shows on the horizon too... we'll be playing all over the place between now and the supposed end of the world in December.

"As a final note, we'd like to send out our deepest grattitude to all of the amazing people who made our tour in March go off so fuckin well.... there are way too many of you to name, but big huge thanks go out to all of the bands, all the promoters, all of our friends, Lee and No List Records, and Musky, our bass player for the American dates. Check out his band BIIPIIGWAN (Steve Sabatini plays drums with'em) and their killer new EP called Nibaak. Most of all, we'd like to thank all of the real fans out there who support us by coming out to the shows, sharing links to our music online, buying shirts and physical media and all that other stuff. We fucking love you, man.

"The Napoleon Sodomite videos were shot and edited (in part) by Big James Arsenian... we'd like to thank him for his tireless work and let you all know that he is doing videos on the cheap for bands out there. Besides ours, he's already done a couple more for our buddies in GUNT and they look great. Catch him on the BIG JAMES MORNING SHOW most mornings on Youtube. You might even catch me on there once in a while losing my temper at some total fucking swill he made me watch.

"I am hoisting a skull full of mead in your honor,

"Seany Sabatini

"PS, on behalf of the whole band I'd like to say congrats to our brothers in KEN mode for their Juno victory, not to mention Fuck The Facts who were nominated in the same category. For any non Canadians out there, a Juno is like a Canadian grammy... horrifying I know, but somehow, someone in the chain of 'industry insiders' left in charge of making these things happen got something right for ten seconds... nothing short of a Justin Bieber/Celine Dion/Hedley/Micheal Buble mass public execution will make me regard the Junos as anything more than a weak masturbatory attempt to stimulate record sales but KEN mode's win left us all smiling and questioning our jadedness for just a split second. Good job dudes!"
