Necronomicon Splits With Guitarist Andy Gern, Announces Replacement André "Bones" Boismenu
Massacre Records has issued the following announcement about Necronomicon parting ways with guitarist Andy Gern:
"Sadly Andy Gern who played alongside Freddy as second guitarist could no longer withstand the pressure of the new Longplayer 'Invictus.' That's why Necronomicon had to take the painful but inevitable step of parting ways with Andy.
"The new guy in the band is André 'Bones' Boismenu from Montréal, Canada. He has played in different Canadian and German bands.
"Rumour has it that he is an excellent musician! With over 25 years of experience in thrash, hardcore and heavy metal he will not only add personality and a unique touch to Necronomicon, he will also complete the quartet as a whole.
"The fans can get to know André 'Bones' on May 5th at the Sküll Session Fest in Belgium, where he will make his first live appearance presenting new songs with Necronomicon as co-headliner of the festival."
The band stated: "We are more than pleased with this new formation and we will be able to concentrate 100% on our new tasks and most importantly on the band! Beware the Beast!"
