American power metal veterans Iced Earth have announced that they will be recording their concert at the ancient Kourion Amphitheater, outside Limassol in Cyprus, for an upcoming CD/DVD release.

This will be the band's first live release with vocalist Stu Block, who joined the band last year, replacing fan favourite Matt Barlow. More details regarding the live release will be revealed once they become available.

LMAO - I really don't need much encouragement! As far as I'm concerned, it's a done deal! Hopefully they won't pixelate it on the DVD ;)

You know it's funny, changing up vocalists all the time is such a great ploy for IE - as in "hey we've got a new vocalist, time for a new teaser single, re-recording, live album and full length to show him off!". Half of the time I'm just gobbling this sh** up out of sheer curiosity!

^When bassist Freddie just left, I got to thinkin just how many people HAVE been in IE?

Even I was surprised...31!

The new dude will be their 8th bassist
Deadly Smedley is 1 of 8 drummers they've had
Troy Seele is the 7th lead guitarist
Stu Block is their 5th vocalist
2 keyboard players have held positions in the band as well

Though Iced Earth is still on their 1st Jon Schaffer :)

The original Dystopia lineup is I think their best line up yet...I'm sure the new bassist will be fine, but I was sorry to see Fred go, he was excellent. I do certainly hope Troy continues for a long time with the band, he's awesome.
