Omnium Gatherum Parts Ways With Bassist Toni Mäki, New LP Almost Written
Finnish melodic death metal band Omnium Gatherum announced that the band has parted ways with bassist Toni Mäki, who played with the band over the past three years, including on the band's latest LP "New World Shadows" (2011). The announcement on the band's Facebook reads:
OG have decided to go separate ways with our bass player of the last three years, Toni Mäki. The decision was made already some time ago after our latest European tour 'Neckbreakers Ball' and it wasn't an easy one.
Some of you might have noticed that the old OG Redshifter bass master Eerik Purdon has been already playing a few gigs with us during the past months. Eerik is filling the now vacant low-frequency spot and is helping us out on the upcoming gigs, rehearsals and recordings - thanks dude!
The real thing is that the bass player spot is now vacant. So, if you have what it takes, feel free to contact us (firstname.lastname@example.org) and manifest that you're the best man for the OG low-frequency department and the meanest dude for the meanest machine! …And we'll see where it goes.
Btw. the new album stuff is almost composed and ready, so soon it's studiotime again!
