How can a band as inventive as Meshuggah come across with something this uninventive and stale?
Guys moshing around for 7 minutes? Even the moshing bits look like they're just the same two or three clips over and over again.
Okay, I'm a huge Meshuggah fan and I know they're no video band, but come on now.
@WOLF7, Well, I feel what you mean, but honestly, this is the most uninventive and stale song on the album, and even at that its sub par. Koloss is an amazing album, truly, and I just think this was a bad song choice of a music video for the album. I mean, this is what people are going to watch of Meshuggah in the next months, and this effort doesn't represent their new album in the least bit. That goes to "can someone please enlighten me" post too. If you want to know why this band is so good, listen to the songs off the new album like "Demiurge" "The Hurt that Finds You First" "Do Not Look Down" "The Demons Name is Surveillance" and so forth.
I agree, Ryanopuffs.
While I'm actually ok with the song, I like it, but you're right, it's certainly among the less interesting tracks on Koloss and a poor choice for a video release. Oh well, it happens.
Brother B, from what I hear "Bleed" was made practically for no money, they essentially got Meshuggah fans and friends to do it.
Michael Bay to direct Meshuggah? Nice one! ;)
I would definitely love to see David Lynch direct a Meshuggah clip though...
