Q.O.T.S.A. Bassist Speaks Out About Being Fired
Former QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE bassist Nick Oliveri has spoken to Kerrang! magazine about the reasons for his departure from the group. “I had a blow out in Barcelona," he said. "I was pissed and did some stupid shit. I freaked out, did some Absinthe or something and we had a big fight that night. We've known each other long enough and that's what happens, a brother fight, you know?
"Josh [Homme, guitarist/vocalist] came to my house and said, 'I don't know if I can do this anymore.' It sounded to me like he was quitting and one of the excuses he gave was he said I'd hit my girlfriend, which is totally untrue. To me it seemed like he was trying to justify that he was quitting. Then I read on the internet I had been fired!"
