Greek melodic metal band Firewind, who recently completed the band's new album "Few Against Many," have announced a new distribution deal for its release in North America with DisManic Distribution via E1 Music. The release date was set for May 22, 2012. Firewind will release the new album through Century Media in Europe.

Guitarist Gus G commented on the new deal: "I'm very excited about this new partnership! While we've been around for sometime, North American territory is relatively new ground for us. And since the music industry is changing drastically these days, we felt we should be more in control on our new release. We are fortunate to have a great team behind us for our N. American release, including Thomas Ziegler of DisManic/E1 Music and together with our management I'm confident that we will reach the next level. "

"Few Against Many" was produced by Gus G, and recorded with long time band mates vocalist Apollo Papathansio, Bob Katsionis (keyboards/guitar) and bassist Petros Christo at "Valve Studio" in Greece as well as"The Sweetspot Studios" in Sweden. According to the press release, the new LP "sees the band expand on their signature melodic sound with some of their most aggressive songs to date." The album also marks the recording debut of new drummer Johan Nunez (Nightrage).
