MOTÖRHEAD are scheduled to go into the studio this week with producer Bob Kulick to record a track for an upcoming METALLICA tribute album. The band will be recording "Whiplash" for inclusion on the collection, due later in the year through Cleopatra Records. Other groups believed to be contributing to the CD include DARK ANGEL ("Creeping Death"), LIFE AFTER DEATH ("Eye Of The Beholder") and the as-yet-unnamed collaboration between ex-PITCHSHIFTER/current DOHENY frontman J.S. Clayden and former MACHINE HEAD/SOULFLY guitarist Logan Mader ("St. Anger"). More information will be made available soon.
In other MOTÖRHEAD-related news, the group have assembled in Los Angeles to write/record their new studio offering. The album is reportedly shaping up well and a June release date is anticipated.
