Overlorde Reforms As Overlorde Sr And Inks Deal With Heaven & Hell

North Carolina traditional metal act Overlorde has reformed under the moniker Overlorde SR (which apparently stands for "Still Rocking" and distinguishes them from Overlorde of New Jersey) and signed a recording deal with Heaven & Hell Records (also out of North Carolina). The band started in 1987 and was best known for the song "Keeper of the Flame," which appeared on Metal Blade's "Metal Massacre 8" compilation. The track originated on the band's only demo "Medieval Metal" in 1987. A remastered version of the demo will be reissued in 2012 with previously unreleased songs and new artwork.

The band is currently in the studio recording its debut record for Heaven & Hell. The current lineup for Overlorde SR is:

Rick Lewis (Bass)
Zip (Drums)
Graig Dunham (Guitars, Backing Vocals)
George "Wildman" Koerber (Guitars, Backing Vocals)
Steve V. Sosa Jr. (Vocals)
