i think its clear that portnoy and camero (both being endorsed by LP) were ask by the company to do this shoot. Everyone seems to just hate Portnoy now becuase of some of his personal decisions. If hes happy in what he is doing then so be it. I tip my hat to Mike and am glad to see him exploring different venues. Most of us posting crap on comment boards wish we had 1/10 the knowlegde and talent this man has let alone all the experiences he has had the opportunites to endure through out his career. Good for you Mike and Piss on all the other jealous people that moan and complain about you leaving Theater.

Theres a fine line between jealousy and legitimate dislike. Just because we negate someone based on their lack of professionalism and respect, does not immediately serve the notion that jealousy is to blame. Portnoy was an integral role of DT, and built a legion of fans doing so. He lied to his fans when he turned his back on DT. The actions and decisions made by Portnoy were both selfish and greedy. Its not an opinion, its a fact. If that were not the case, there would be no issue with the other members of DT and he would still be in the band.

To make matters worse, Portnoy continues to take cheap shots aimed at DT members rather than ignore the situation and move on. This has absolutely nothing to do with "jealousy" or whatever you want to call it. You are sorely mistaken, and clearly expressing the same unintelligence as Portnoy by pointing the finger at others.

Fans don't express jealousy towards positions they could never approach. If it was some guy at your job who just gained a position you were striving for, perhaps jealousy would be a suitable accusation. It does not apply if one of the bands you listen to your whole life gets a new member and kicks someone out. Thats asinine.

Do you honestly think fans are really mad saying "thats no fair...I want to be as talented as Portnoy...humph!" No. Absolutely not. Now you're acting as if everyone wants to be the drummer of a prog rock band, which means you're putting words in peoples mouths. A similar characteristic of (no surprise here) Mike Portnoy!

If you payed attention to what i said in my first sentence you would have noticed i was talking about the brisstowe comment and your own.
I find it hard to believe that Mike is going to be "stealing ideas from latin percussionist" just becuase of a photo shoot. Also you commented on him focusing on the camera and called him a "doooosh." anyone reading these comments get a negative reaction from them. more so with the first comment "assuming" he is now stealing ideas.
I actually agree with you 100% about Mike's "Lack of professionalism" he has shown by proclaiming DT plagiarized another song, but for people to rip mike over a photo shoot (that was probably LP's idea anways) is asinine in itself.
I admit jealous was the wrong word to use (should have been "Bitter") but i never made mention of people "wanting to be the drummer of a prog rock band." it was about his knowledge and talent he has. You put those words in my mouth, not the other way around.
