The guy has one hell of a voice, but I don't think Diamonds and Rust really suits the acoustic vibe.

Diamonds and Rust was originally an acoustic song when Joan Baez wrote and played it. Judas Priest pulled it off, but my favorite version has always been the cover by Blackmore's Night.

I've only heard the Priest version to be honest, though I was aware that it was a cover from a broadway play or something. Frankly, I just think the Judas version is -AMAZING- and hearing it done acousticly after had a pretty minimal 'wow' effect. Blackmore's Night, you say?

As much as I've never liked Ripper's style, the new Charred Walls has been growing on me.

I thought it was pretty awsome that judas priest on the epitaph tour started it with the acoustic version then end with the blazing heavyer version they do of dimonds and rust. Bad ass!
