Last Friday Axl Rose (Guns N’ Roses) sat down with the crew from VH1’s That Metal Show and discussed lawsuits, Chinese Democracy, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Of course there was not enough time to ask ALL the questions. After some dumpster diving behind Miami’s American Airlines arena we found the rest of the questions that never got asked.
#1 You mention Izzy Stradlin’s love of getting drunk, stealing cars, and doing donuts in parking lots. Is it safe to assume Izzy was known as the fun one?
#2 At the end of Use Your Illusion II there are the tracks “Don’t Cry (alternate lyrics)” and “My World”, did someone actually sign off on this?
#3 Do you realize you have matching rings on both of your hands?
#4 Of all the original GNR members, who has the best hair? {Follow-up} The cornrows era, please explain.
#5 Have you auditioned for the lead singer position of Velvet Revolver?
#6 Is it true that you were offered a reality series on VH1 called TOO LATE FOR LOVE?
#7 Can you list all of the medications that went into the making of the video “Estranged”, (hand over notebook to Axl)?
#8 Will you show up to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame if (after 25 years) Vince Neil finally agrees to a boxing match with you and the induction begins at 5am?
#9 David Lee Roth or Sammy Hagar? {Follow-up} Taco Bell or Taco Johns? {Follow-up} Bret Michaels or Rikki Rockett?
#10 Is there a pact with the original line-up that after 30 years (if everyone is alive) you will get back together, tour, and record a new album, aka The Black Sabbath pact?

The pathetically snide tone to these "questions" cant change the fact that it was a great interview and Axl remains one of the greatest frontmen in rock history.
GN'R played to over a million people on their 2006 tour while Velvet Revolver struggled to get 5000 people in a night as Matt Sorum himself grudgingly admitted.
Why would Axl audition for mediocre, broken-up bands like Velvet Revolver whose own members like Slash proclaimed that they were "miserable" in the band and whose over the hill players all had drug relapses in their sad middle age?

I like the last question. I don't see how Axl can continue calling this project "Guns N Roses" when he is the only original. On a side note, last year I worked security for Addler's Appetite. I really enjoyed their set. They played the entire "Appetite" album.
