Bruno, I'm having a WTF moment as well...not so much about the openers, but with the NM date...
FARMINGTON?????? What the Goddamned FVCK?????
Who the fvck booked this schedule....most stupid fvcking location to put a top metal band I've ever fvckin seen
the Navajo Nation will be stoked, but what about the rest of us Nuevo Mexicanos?
It don't much matter to me I guess, as I will be in TX doin bighorn hunts all of february, I'm just incredulous at the choice of location for my home state...wish I could join ya in Jollywood on the 17th....drag RT outta redlands for the gig and you boys drink a couple brews for me...I'll raise a glass in camp that evening to ya guys :) \m/
nah Blind, Detyhguy is alright....good for him, them Dine LOVE the fvckin METAL...he's just a bit frosted that I burned on his 'big city'...entirely understandable :)
by the way 'Guy, I have no problem with Farmington itself (got some good friends outta there), but to put quality METAL shows there makes about as much sense as bookin them in MY hometown (taos), or frikken Camel Rock, ya know?
ABQ makes the most sense logistically...what I was getting at is that I am blown away by the fact that a band like MACHINE FVCKING HEAD isn't able to get a gig at Tinley or the stupid J Pavillion...
Anyway, ALL you guys suck the big fatty fer gettin to see these guys while I'm out in the goddamned cactus lookin for Ol Mister Curley Horns :)
Anyway, have fun dudes...just skip the openers for some quality beer time, and show up for the Machine...should be fvckin awesome \m/
NP---Now I lay Thee Down---MFH
**edit---jesus fvcking christ----' TINGLEY '
first show I ever seen....Kenney Rogers playing on a flatbed in the bucking arena in oh, about '78 when I was 4...first METAL show was MAIDEN with wasp opening in 85
sh** sound in that place...but some HEAVY nostalgia...the list goes on ya know :)
Im sure RAT would have prefered ruidoso national park/ racetrack or the santa barbara bowl...
Ya the undercard kinda blows, i like machinehead but id go see them on a better tour, i ll have to pass on this one..
RAT, im gonna need those drumtracks, when u get down from the mountain lets talk turkey...
Provided the common knowledge that I absolutely do not support the fvcking Park Service nor Horse Racing, in addition the fact that Ruidoso NP doesn't exist, I must begrudgingly concede 3 points to RT for his expert sandbagging at my expense
Ya, I'll send ya some drum tracks muthafvcka...they'll be real good...hell, maybe I'll even play 'em myself :)
Seriously now, give a call if ya want to talk pummeled poultry skins...I lost your pretentious frikken "restricted" number...I'll be around until Turkey Day, then back to the desert till the Ides of March
Appeal? If you don't get their appeal after all the albums they've put out, plus the latest one, then you probably never will.
To outright say they're "not good. at all." when they've supported some of the biggest metal bands in the world is just goddamn rude. If you don't like that particular style of metal that actually uses vocals and *hard work* when creating music instead of just growling or screaming, that's fine. Just don't go and think that a swept-over haircut, some fast guitar work, a little bass and a (seemingly) heavy breakdown makes for a superior band.
Machine Head has proven themselves time and time again with their brand of heavy and actual song structure along with their frontman's ability to actually *sing* and play guitar at the same time. At the end of the day, Machine Head stands out amongst all the big names in heavy metal and helps to define the goddamn genre by themselves while bands like Suicide Silence do nothing more than fit into that *core category that all the kids in skinny jeans (eat some damn meat and toughen up) think is "brutal."
Will definately go to this show. Will be good to see a full, headline,Machine Head set. Ive seen Darkest Hour a ton of times, they always put on a good show, pretty tight live. Not a huge fan of Suicide Silence, but i didnt think they were that bad live on Mayhem fest. Its all about MH!
