Former Anthrax Singer Dan Nelson Files $2.65 Million Lawsuit Against The Band
According to the New York Post, former Anthrax vocalist Dan Nelson has filed a $2.65 Million lawsuit against his ex band mates, as a result of the way his departure from the thrash metal veterans was handled in 2009.
The singer maintains that he was fired from the band while other members have repeatedly said that he quit suddenly. Nelson says his ex-bandmates’ "intentional defamation" has caused him a loss of income and damaged his reputation.
The Manhattan federal court filing further charges that Nelson co-wrote the tunes on the band’s latest album, "Worship Music," but hasn’t gotten his fair share of the profits.

Ya im pretty sure i said this back when Worship Music was released... it was a backstabbing move to use music that Dan wrote and NOT give him his credit due... And then to turn around and say that he quit when they fired him... That looks bad on ANY employer. All so they could have their original vocalist back... It was sorta like they used him to fill that spot, and once Joey was coming back they kicked Dan to the curb... I don't care if he was doing anthrax good or not, thats just a matter of opinion. the Fact is that Dan was treated like a disposable musician, in the 21st century.... and that looks reaaaally bad on Anthrax right now.
And btw their music sucks, but thats just my opinion :)

Seriously what did this guy do when he was in anthrax? did they gig with him or was he just added to the line up for a few months then quit or left...
I think i remember saying WHO??? when he joined and didnt noice when he left. i kept saying Bring back John Bush..
This guy sounds like a d***. stop whining.
Yeah they toured with him and began recording Worship Music with him before he got the sack. I saw him with Anthrax at Graspop in 2009. He was alright, kind of like a mix between Bush and Phil Anselmo, but not as interesting as either. I couldn't see them going anywhere with him, but he is talented.
Yea screw this nobody! Give him an unemployment check, some job training, tell him to shut the fvck up! If it wasnt for him singing on the initial Worship Music, doing some dates,no one would even know who he is. Not sure why he thinks he's entitled to 2 and a half mill.
