Former Iron Maiden vocalist Paul Di'anno has posted a demo track of a new song online, entitled "Black Boots." You can check it out below. In posting the song, Di'annos Facebook page confirmed that a new CD is in the works, but whether or not, "Black Boots" appears on the record depends on how well it is received. Di'annos last album, "The Living Dead," was released in 2006.

This is... weird.
It's not bad, but it doesn't really sound from Di'anno. I guess his voice has probably changed, because I've only listened to his stuff with Iron Maiden, but... Not bad. I could get into this.

Weird indeed, but nevertheless very interesting. I haven't followed Paul throughout his whole career, but it's nice that he has been innovative with his sound. He's not trying to do another Iron Maiden rip-off, like he did with his Killers band.

Funny, I haven't really heard much he's done post Maiden, but everyone that leaves that band seems to do stuff that is way heavier or more poppy than Maiden. Except the early solo Bruce stuff, which was more alt-progressive I suppose. It's not a bad song, actually, not very Maidenesque, original.
