According to the NME, the four original members of Black Sabbath has announced that they will be holding a press conference in Los Angeles, California on November 11th at 11:11am at the Whiskey A Go-Go. This was the same venue where Black Sabbath made their American debut on November 11th 1970, which fuels the expectation that this announcement will be to officially confirm the recent reunion rumours. The event will reportedly be hosted by spoken word artist and former Black Flag frontman, Henry Rollins. Stay tuned for further information.

Whenever I hear/read the phrase "press conference," I always think politics - and I'm afraid that's just what this (possible) reunion may be. Just politics. There's no way Black Sabbath actually wants to get back together for musical reasons... or at least I know Ozzy doesn't.
Black Sabbath awesome ... Henry Rollins not awesome. Sad but true. I like his music. I enjoy his spoken word, but the man is a rude jerk. One of the most disappointing nights of my life was meeting him. Ozzy on the other hand was super cool, nice as could be. Ah well ... in the end, I pretty much just want to hear their music so ... Black Flag with Rollins again could be fun. The thought of Black Sabbath recording new music gives me goose bumps. I so hope it happens.
^well the Heaven and Hell album with Dio was the sh**, and that was more or less Sabbath+Dio. And I think the last Ozzy album was criminally underrated. Black Rain was sh**, but honestly the last one was really great, admittedly because of Gus G, but still.
I'm not excited for Black Sabbath reunion, but I'm not against it either, it could be good.
That having been said, I think I stated it somewhere else on the site, I wont be happy till Phil Anselmo is the lead singer of Black Sabbath.
Honestly would rather have seen Heaven & Hell before Dio passed on. The records Ronnie did solo and with H&H over the last 5 years blow away anything Ozzy has done in the last decade. Not to mention singing on one of the best live albums I've ever heard. (Heaven & Hell Live at Radio City Music Hall. Do yourself a favor and check it out if you haven't) Honestly if there's no reality show or commercial being filmed I'm surprised Ozzy showed up. Don't get me wrong, Ozzy has done some amazing stuff, but the man is a corporate tool these days.
Yea I'm definitely excited about this. The original lineup of the band the literally birthed one of the greatest genres in the history of music getting back together. After all these years, I don't think that any of them are gonna put on a sh** show because if they couldn't do it I don't think they would. I know Iommi and Geezer will be ok. I'm sure Ward will too. Ozzy just doesn't give a fvck, he'll sing weather it's bad or not. But he's been pretty on his game these past few years and he was good at Ozzfest last year.
So I think this will be a good reunion and a good album if they do one. Like FAN I thought the Heaven and Hell stuff was amazing, and the 3 new songs off the Dio Years Sabbath album.
FAN, I'd actually be really interested to see a project with Phil and Iommi. He did stuff on Iommi's solo album that was good. I'd also be interested to see him do more work with Serj Tankian cause he was good too on that album. Iommi never disappoints imo.
Tough to get excited over this after seeing Heaven and Hell three times. At this point, the press conference I want to hear is Ozzy saying, "I am leaving Sharon for good. The soulless skank shall have a restraining order to stay 100 miles from me at all times"
/m\
Im mixed on a potential reunion. I know Iommi still has riffs left in him,but i worry about Ozzy keeping up his end of the bargain. Cant imagine a Sabbath record with auto tuned vocals. A tours probably good for folks who have not seen them. Anyways... A Black Flag reunion with Morris or Dez would be incredible. I dont think Ginn would want any part anyways, but it sounds good Bruno.
