Cloven Hoof has posted a music video online for the new studio track "I'm Your Nemesis," which is available in the player below. The band commented:
"At long last the fans can watch the brilliant new line up in action playing the new studio song 'I'm your Nemesis' eagerly awaited, we know you won't be disappointed. Cloven Hoof would like to thank Kevin Powis and Dan Evans from Last Independent & EAP films for their fantastic work and direction. Many thanks also to all the staff at Netherton Arts Centre, Hockley Street Studio and Muff Murfin and Richard Wood at The Old Smthy Recording Studios. The band is back bigger and better than ever so check out the video below to see and hear Cloven Hoof deliver its new masterpiece!"

Sorry to burst your bubbles, but this video/song is crap. It's a total Megadeth ripoff and two of the members barely even listen to real metal. They like sh** like Avenged Sevenfold, InMe, etc.
Also here is an e-mail Mr. Ben Read (former guitarist who was sacked last year) on Lee and his band:
Hi there, yes, despite what lee has probably told you i left the band as a result of many issues with Lee, mainly with the permanent lies i was being told all the time. Mike felt the same and quit after i emailed lee to give him my decision that i was leaving, (albeit no-one ever leaves cloven hoof, they are sacked). It was a massive decision to leave as i love the music and the fans but everything that was going on behind the scenes made continuing impossible. The real reason Russ left after Belgium was because of Lee's lies to us all about how much the band had been paid for gigs, and the backbiting about other members of the band behind their backs instigated by Lee, which was the beginning of the end of the hoof. Matt Moreton was never in the band and i was there when he agreed only to sing on the throne of damnation for payment as Russ had left by then. Lee then placed lies about the reason that russ left on the website, saying Matt was in the band so that the fans would buy the EP. When Russ agreed to do the gigs in B-ham in july, and then the two gigs in Finland and Germany this year, Lee then had to backtrack on all the nasty things he had placed on the news page about Russ, so that Russ would do the gigs. I am still in contact with Russ, who i class as a good friend, and he more than understood both mine and Micks feelings about the band. It got to the point where Lee would never leave us alone to chat amongst ourselves without him being there, in case any of us told the other member of the band about what lee had said about them. Unfortunately Lee is the reason why there have been so many line up changes to the band over the years, which is a shame as he writes great music as im sure you'll agree. It upset me when Russ quit and Lee put lies on the website news about him leaving us in the sh** for the other gigs when Russ had been straight with Lee and had told him that Belgium would be his last gig in August last year.
I could go on with numerous other reasons on top of these but i wont. I am aware of the comic strips that Lee has been putting on the website, which dont particularly bother me as the content consists of things that he has said to us in the past. I am now currently working with JB, Andy Pyke from Marshall Law, and Glyn Shepherd(ex-bass player with Blaze Bailey) on a new metal project, so keep your ears open...
Finally i will miss everything about Cloven Hoof (mostly the fans) but not Mr Payne.

Sound like a bad case of sour grapes by Mr Read to me.
As for the video and song... f***ing brilliant.. up to date & powerful.
Who gives a sh** if they sound like Megadeath I love megadeath and so do a few million others. If I where Cloven Hoof I would be laughing all the way to the bank if people think they are like Megadeath.
At least Cloven Hoof are not turning into a tribute band of themselves playing the same old songs over and over.

NO where does it say the Ben was sacked...

I agree with you Tetley, It sounds like sour grapes. Can I ask...dose the writer "Cloven Hoof Fan" know the members of the new line up? how can he know what they like to listen to from the vidio....I can't tell, but what I can tell is this new track is brill! I love it. Can we have more of the same please. As to the e-mail from Ben Read, how can you be sacked if you have send an email to hand in your notice?? I think he has seen the direction of the new line up and now regrets leaving....ha ha. One Last point I would like to make....how can the witer "Cloven Hoof Fan" dare to call him selve "Fan"....he should call him self "Cloven Hoof Slagger" coz he is no FAN.

As far as the song goes, it's good, but the singer definitely sounds way too much like Dave Mustaine in the verses, which he doesn't need to do because he's got a very good voice of his own.

All that say, I don't think the vocalist sets out to sound like Dave Mustain. many people sound alike. I echo your comments on the vocalist
I personally think he has a first class rock voice well suit to today's power metal

I don't know if you use this website often or not, but on quite a regular basis, we have people trying to state their side of an arguement and five/ten/fifteen minutes later, will return using a different alias, usually opening their statement with, "I agree with (insert previous name)" and say basically the same thing as before, only with the possible inclusion of one or two things they may previously have forgot to say. Perhaps this will clarify things and as to why, like anyone who bothers to check the IP in situations such as those, I assumed you and your wife were the same person. Since you seem so angry about this, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and believe you.

Sort of. This is the internet, a global network, countries have nothing to do with the situation, but yes, speak freely by all means.
Back on topic, until I hear more new material from Cloven Hoof, I can't say whether or not the singer sets out to sound like Dave Mustaine but this song had "Sweating Bullets" written all over it. As soon as he started singing the first thing that popped into my head was "Dave Mustaine," and judging from post 4, I'm not alone in that sentiment. When it came to the chourus, as I said before, he showed the listener that he has his own unique voice and doesn't need to resort to impressions, no matter how big an influence Mustaine may be on him.

I got lucky that i saw them a few times now. Even brought their merchandise that they couldn't take with them to Headbangers open air festival.
As for Ben's email, it was a response for my question what happened (as a big cloven hoof fan, i was really confused about Matt Moreton on the vocals)

Not my cup of tea, but would be fine if they released it under another name. That being said, Cloven Hoof have a history of changing line-ups, so it wasn't as if "Sultan's Ransom" was recorded with the same people who did the previous albums.
I do think the way Lee has handled things online like with the comic is pretty juvenille, and perhaps the current band doesn't really represent what the previous incarnations were about?
I dunno, I haven't been in the band so I dunno, but as a young musician myself, I personally wouldn't like the band I spend my years in someone else's legacy.
I think cloven hoof fan and A real fan are the same person, why accuse lee of being on the forums anyway? come on he is probs in rehersal or something, making more great music like this track.

With all that considered this is a pretty cool up to date vibe. For the record if i stumble upon music i don't like i don't tar it with bad comments, I just listen to something else, people that do leave lots of flame ammo, its either envy or some deepset child abuse issues.
Russ isn't coming back. He left off his own terms and he and lee are still friends by all accounts. And the other two TRAITORS left, they wern't fired or anything like that. They has a spat and left because of it and now they're out to pull as many hate string with the old school fans as possible.
Cloven hoof has had a lot of change line up wise, Russ isn't exactly original material, or have you all forgotten that?!
Russ was good, I think the new singer is good too but you can't really compare them because Russ can't sing the way the new one does and I don't think the new one can 80's howl like Russ does.
Either way, the majority of the band left, what was lee supposed to do? Give up on something he's worked for, for so long? Really?!!? Get a life, cause I know you wouldn't in the same circumstances!
