Cynic's is a band that should only really be listened to by people who are already fans or are on the borderline of being elitist douchebags in terms of their musical taste. Really tough band to casually get into. I didnt even like their first album till years later after listening to their second, and by that point I had already gotten into prog and experimental music, but it was still a hard digest.
That having been said, I LIKE this song, but I'm not crazy ass-over-head in love with it. I wouldnt say its awesome, but it definitely makes me want to pick the album up.
Cynic is an aquired taste and some never aquire it. They have a very progressive style with hints of jazz prog and expiramental tossed about. Traced in air took a few spins for me to digest as well, but once I did and started breaking it down it gave me wood.
