Allegaeon checked in through its new management company, Blkheart Group, with the following update:

"Allegaeon (Metal Blade Records) is heading into the studio this winter to record their newest album, which is slated for release in the spring of 2012.

"Formed in early-summer 2008, with the release of their self-titled EP immediately following, Allegaeon (pronounced: uh-lee-juhn) has quickly spread their unique version of extreme metal locally, nationally and internationally, with much acclaim from press and fans alike. With an armament of new songs and a live show that is as engaging as any, and a furious vocal delivery from enigmatic front man Ezra Haynes, they are sure to win over many more fans in the coming months.

"The band had this to say about joining with BlkHeart Group: “We here in the Allegaeon camp are happy to announce that we have joined with BlkHeart Group. This is a perfect fit for us; Two up and coming groups working together to help each other continue in the paths of success that we have already established thus far in our short careers. 2012 should prove to be the most exciting and rewarding year in Allegaeon’s short history and with BlkHeart Group on board will no doubt, make for great year and an even greater future'. ”

Yep, Fragments truly is an incredible album. A band that manages to sound like everyone else AND no one else, simultaneously, is a rare and gifted band.
