Holy frikken moly! That was hard on the ears! And it was so brief, thankfully. I think Megadeth has nothing to worry about Nov. 1st. They'll recieve no competition from Lulu. I wouldnt release any more snippets if i was Metallica, because i probably wont buy as a cheapo at Wally World now.
its was only 38 seconds, and 3/4 of it was lou talking on the same riff over and over... how can you already say it sucks by a preview of 38 seconds:S must say i dont like the part either until 0:30 comes up, it starts to sound interesting although it ends quickly...
Just wait until it comes out before you judge the entire song/album
Err... well it sounds exactly like Lou Reed singing over new Metallica... not really that surprising really. It just obviously doesn't really work - sounds like it'd be an ok Metallica song though.
What I'm interested to know is did this take up riffs that Metallica would have otherwise used on the new LP that they were supposed to be writing a while back? How much did Reed write? Wait for the interviews I guess...
I actually wish I had a hard copy of this piece of sh!t...then I could have the satisfation of throwing the cursed thing out the truck window like I did with St. fvcking Chunder
Tag, over two decades of Sh!tallica's fvcking suckage has preempted the possibility of of them EVER AGAIN creating ANYthing worth hearing...this fvcking two bit carnival soundtrack simply drops the bar to an all time low. 38 excruciating seconds is more than enough to prove that
these fvcking clowns should have humped and made up with haggy ol Davey Sh!tstaine, and invited him to gargle on this junk, thereby completing the atrocity...as of now, sounds like something's missing ya know?
But that might COULD be the talent and better judement these motherfvcks willingly abandoned back in 1989 :)
this stinking goddamned pile is a fvcking pitiful and pathetic abomination
absolutely and utterly inexcusable...but not altogether surprising

It sounds like they chose an exceptionally awful 30 seconds of the disc to use as a preview. When Lou starts actually belting it right at the end, I want to hear more of that. That might sound alright. But when he's just talking rubbish at the start of the preview, I wouldn't keep a disc of that in my library if someone gave it to me for free.
It's alright for metallica to like Lou Reed, but to do a collabaration sigh?
How did they think metal fans would react to it!
Basically St Anger part 2 but with Lou Reed singing, hope he doesn't tour with them. At least Slayer and Megadeth never lost there way.

The track as a whole is alright, but that was quite a poor choice for a short 30 second sample.
It rocks, but if you ain't a Lou Reed fan, then don't bother.
The same track with Lou's vocal swapped for almost any guest vocalist with a metal background would be a great improvement; but it is a collaboration rather than a guest vocal, so the track doesn't exist without Lou Lou.
Metallica like to experiment - don't get so uptight, folks. If you don't like S&M, St. Anger or this, then save your pennies. Buy the new Mastadon instead. Personally I'd like to hear a few more oddballs come from Metallica's direction - there are deeper influences to their material and I'd like to give them a listen even if I don't want to buy them.
If you never liked Lou Reed before, don't bother trying now.
