I just got done watching the video.
Bass usually doesn't hold my attention by itself but this guy is a revelation.
Skills beyond belief.
Love the hybrid.
He should bring some amazing things to Obscura.
He also seems like a nice, down to Earth guy which is a nice change from a lot of the macho posturing in the metal community.
Excellent bassist. Now I'm really disappointed that Obscura missed the show I attended on the Bodom tour. I'm loving the jam bits he's doing with the drummer, it's a nice touch. Rather than just regurgitating over a pre-recorded song clip like you usually see when a band shows off a new member.
It's a shame that bass players don't get highlighted enough. They are often far more responsible for a band's sound than people realize.
Wished he was the new bassist for Children of Bodom. Maybe they'd start writing good albums again. Every release has gone down the hill since AYDY?, and Roope Latvala may or may not be to blame... Or melodeath is just that overplayed nowadays. Come on Janne... where is the badass keyboard skills you once displayed?
