American hard rock legends KISS has announced that their name of their forthcoming new studio album, their first since their well received 2009 comeback record, "Sonic Boom," will be entitled, "Monster." Although the band are still working on the album in a Los Angeles studio, they revealed that they are currently hatching plans for a massive world tour which will kick off in 2012 and last well into 2013, appropriately dubbed the Monster World Tour. "Monster" will be released sometime in 2012 through the band's own label, Kiss Records.

You guys are crazy! I will still dress up in my Gene Simmons costume and rock out to the new album! If anyone is looking for KISS costumes this Halloween go here: http://www.thecostumegallery.com/kiss-costumes.htm I went there last year and I will recommend them to anyone. Long Live GENE!
if you arent a KISS fan you wouldn't understand how happy this makes some people.People have spent their whole lives loving this band and it is such a treat when the band makes new music for the diehards.KISS arent for everyone, they never were meant to be.It's for the fans.
The last KISS album i bought was Animalize in the mid 80s. Everything theyve done since is a complete waste. Yea,no sh** folks, theyre in it for the cash. I mean they sell KISS coffins for Christ sakes. Think Gene would try to sell the sweat off his sack if he felt there was a market for it. They should headline some Vegas casino year round, washed up as they are.
KISS... Man, these guys are like Cher, they don't know when to give up and call it quits! They have already had so many "Fare well Tours.". And the new album is titled "Monster"? Sounds like something Lady Gaga would have come up with.. maybe they will be touring with her also! They are both money hungry cash cows!
ALSO, to the guy who said that KISS has influenced a lot of other bands? Sure this might be true, but the bands they have influenced are bands who are only playing the music for money not pleasure and to express their true talent. They are bands who think (Like Gene) they invented everything and own everything and that everything was their idea. The main influential bands were Black Sabbath (Both Ronnie Jame Dio era and Ozzy era) Led Zepplin, Metallica, and some others for true musicians! KISS may have been something new and good, but they are no longer what they were and need to just retire already.
Not to defend KISS, (Although I Loved them as a kid) but I highly disagree with putting all their musician fans in one basket. Liking a band that might be motivated by greed doesn't automatically make their fans soulless automotoms motivated by the same. Dave McClain from Machine Head is a huge fan of KISS. The guy is totally professional and one of the most under-rated drummers in metal. Only one example, I know, but if you looked around you might see more KISS fans even in the bands you, yourself, enjoy. Just saying when dealing with varied personalities, you can't always generalize on one shared aspect. As for KISS, I havent liked anything from them since Carnival of Souls.
All this means is that Gene hasn't made enough money off of his b.s. tv appearances and random vocal outbursts about society's "problems" and a new album is the easiest way for him to do some "work" and get paid.
Cuz you know, if you can't live a ultra mega rockstar lifestyle.... life just ain't worth living.
well doesnt look like theyre going anywhere, they made thier own record label so now no matter what there is no one to stop the release of future sh**ty kiss albums and more compilations and all that, i bet we see a lot of "new" kiss stuff in record stores (wal-mart) in the near future.
KISS is a band wich I got to know when I was 11 years old. I also discovered Led Zeppelin, ACDC, Van Halen and many more.
I went to prince 7 times, saw the rolling stones ofcourse and enjoyed it all.
Sonic boom with Modern day delilah is a good album, and with that song makes it really good.
What I like about KISS and other bands who write their own songs plus give a performance live. Is that they still make you believe that they really mean that. I am sorry for all the children now who are milked for all there money and still believe there is something real and creative about all what we see. The best dancer, singer, idiotic show kilss the creativitie in our children. You may not like KISS or ACDC, but please tell the truth!!
