This is a colaberation album NOT a Metallica album .. I too would love to see em return atleast for another album or 2 to the ole school thrash metal up your a** Tallica of the old days .. it will happen !! just sit back and try to enjoy the superiority of Reed n Metallica, trust me .. you won't be dissappointed !!
so metallica fans are expecting this to be a metallica album with lou reed, so i'm wondering - are lou reed fans expecting it to be a lou reed album with metallica? as Kirkfann1 pointed out, it's a collaboration, with which i agree, making it neither of the above.
not saying it's going to be the greatest album ever, just tired of the whining about metallica needs to do this or that, or return to their roots - whatever this record is, it's not going to be any of that cause it ain't a metallica record!!!! save the whining for the actual article post stating metallica is writing new metallica material!
