Man, that was disappointing...And the only song I liked had the dude from Whitechapel on it, so that automatically = Album Fail.

The break down from 'Born in Blood' has a lot of aggression in it, me likey. Might take me a bit to like the whole album though

I have a soft spot for Chimaira, and like what I'm hearing, but in all honesty I can see why some people wouldn't be that swayed by it.

Great album, but not nearly as personal as previous albums and thus not nearly as good as it could've been. 1,2,5,7,11 are the best in my opinion.

I gave it a shot...it seems I've grown out of the Chimaira phase. Wasn't impressed at all.

Well, I gave it a second listen just to be sure...still not impressed. I like "Born In Blood" and "Samsara"...that's about it. I think I'd like Chimaira a lot better without Mark's tired repetitive vocals. "Samsara" is fvcking sweet I'd like to hear more instrumentals from these guys.

Yea ES they do some nice instrumentals. Rob Arnold should do a solo instrumental record. Or a instrumental Chimaira EP or something. The Heart Of It All is one of my favorite tracks on The Infection. I did like this album. But by no means is it my favorite. Some of the riffs seem old. Like I've heard them on other releases. But only on a few selete tracks. The rest is pretty awesome IMO.

They definately brought back the aggression that made "Impossibility of Reason" a good album. Trigger Finger is a solid track and I've always liked this guys vocals.

ya know that's funny hellspawn...i've always liked chimaira but im the opposite. i've always felt that this guys vocals were the bands weakpoint, too shrilly for my taste, but then again, im just a douchebag with an opinion...

Its like they took everything they'd been building towards for the past 3 albums and tossed it out the window. Massive dissapointment
