King Giant Announces New Tour Dates; Issues Album Update
Southern doom rockers King Giant are preparing to hit the stage as direct support for the almighty Pentagram's Summer tour kick-off show, tonight at Springfield, Virginia's Jaxx Nightclub. The band has also confirmed an upcoming show opening for Karma To Burn in Washington DC in September, and continue to lock down regional gigs as the band wraps up its upcoming sophomore full-length, "Dismal Hollow." The show details are as follows:
8/12/2011 Jaxx Nightclub - Springfield, VA w/ Pentagram, One Slack Mind
9/21/2011 Rock and Roll Hotel - Washington DC w/ Karma To Burn
The follow-up to King Giant's 2009 self-released debut album, "Southern Darkness," the upcoming "Dismal Hollow" is being finalized now, and will be released sometime in early 2012. The band has just finished mastering the tracks, and is currently wrapping up pre-production on the first video for "Appomattox," which is set to be filmed in a house built in the 1700s in early September.
Stay tuned for more updates on the video and the upcoming full-length as they are completed over the coming weeks, as well as more King Giant live actions as they are confirmed.
