Megadeth has made it official, the band's 13th studio album, titled "Th1rt3en," will be released on November 1st, 2011. Dave Mustaine commented, "This record is the culmination of my work over the 13 records I recorded. There are moments on Th1rt3en that capture my every emotion, and other moments where I am releasing feelings I never knew existed! My proudest moments of my musical career are captured on Th1rt3en.”
"Th1rt3en" also marks the recorded return of bassist Dave Ellefson, who was part of the band's classic lineup from 1983 to 2002. In a move that delighted the band's legion of diehards, Ellefson returned to performing live with Megadeth in early 2010 and has remained a fixture on the stage ever since. This is the first time Ellefson has played on a Megadeth record since 2002's "Rude Awakening."
The album's title has several layers of meaning, which front man Dave Mustaine revealed in a recent chat with RollingStone.com, saying, "I was born on September 13th; this is my thirteenth record. It just seemed like it was the right thing to do to call it Th1rt3en."
Megadeth recorded an original track, "Never Dead," specifically for the NeverDead action-adventure video game franchise; that song will appear on "Th1rt3en," as will "Sudden Death," which the band recorded for Guitar Hero: Warriors Of Rock.

I still can't get over how retarded the title is, but all things considered, it should be a good album.
@1, you need to judge musicians on the music they make, not what their personality is like. Otherwise, who would ever listen to Guns N' Roses? When I listen to a Megadeth album, I try to think about Megadave's fingers, not his mouth.
Yea Dave comes off as a douche, its his music im interested in. Look forward to the new record. Brodericks playing has turned Megadeth into a badass fvckin machine live. Just hope Megadeth keeps with the anniversary theme on thier next headline tour, and plays Peace Sells in its entirety.25 yrs! A true classic;i just want to hear them do The Conjuring and My Last Words live!
Agreed R10, the Conjuring, My Last Words and Five Magics are 3 of my all time favorite thrash songs. Love everything up to Countdown to Extinction (the Symphony of Destruction album?). Endgame came out swinging though and I hope that's the direction Dave is taking the band.
Yeah, I love Slayer, but Kerry's ever-present sunglasses get annoying. I guess he's entitled though. Hell, I get tired of meeting people all the time, I can only imagine how it is for those dudes.

Megadeth is Dave Mustaine.everyone else are hired hands/employees.I'm looking forward to this album.I buy every Megadeth album the day it comes out.have I been happy with every one? No.cryptic writings wasnt that good,Risk was awful, and the world needs a hero wasn't all that either.the albums do seem to be getting progressively better.I like Chris Brodrick and the Canadian guy(i hated his brother, the other canadian guy).nobody fit like Marty&Nick.
