This is a really good interview. I've been waiting for someone who had the balls to confront them on their drastic sound change.

You can tell it definitely bothers Anders, and seems as though it weighs on him a lot. Theres clearly a chip on his shoulder as well.

There have been numerous rumors from band members stating Anders purposely wanted to change the direction of the band towards a more "American" market.

Regardless, I will never ever lose respect for this band. The Jester Race remains one of my top 5 favorite metal albums of all time, and these guys fathered my song writing process over a decade ago.

I am so excited to hear the new album. I have loved In Flames for more than a decade and still get excited when I hear one of their songs, old or new. I know the new sound may take some getting used to but I love me some In Flames and I'll never turn my back on them. Anders and the boys know what they're doing, they've been at it for many, many moons. Change can be good and I'm ready for it.
