Mastodon To Appear On Transformers 3: Dark Of The Moon Soundtrack

American progressive metal act Mastodon has revealed that it will be featured on the forthcoming Transformers: Dark Of The Moon soundtrack. The compilation album arrives in stores on June 14, 2011 and will contain Mastodon's cover of ZZ Top's "Just Got Paid". The soundtrack will also feature tracks from Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Black Veil Brides and more. You can find the full track listing as well as stream Mastodon's cover below.

Good cover; doesn't save this abomination of a soundtrack though. Mastodon rules. They should take comfort in knowing that they're the best sounding band on the soundtrack.
