Metalunderground.com is proud to host the premiere of the second new song from Swedish classic/doom metal band In Solitude's upcoming new album. The song, "To Her Darkness" is off the band's sophomore album, "The World. The Flesh. The Devil," which is due out on Metal Blade Records on May 24th.
"The World. The Flesh. The Devil" was recorded in Novermber 2010 at Nicke Anderson's (HELLACOPTERS) brand new studio Gutterview Recorders in Stockholm, Sweden with producer Fred Estby (DISMEMBER, DEATH BREATH). "From the first meeting with Fred, we knew that we wanted to work with him. He fully understood our needs and what we are aiming to create. After hearing his work, we knew that he was also a fan of organic production. This is very important to us. His studio is recently built and we are thrilled to be one of the first bands to record within its walls" comments the band.
Specially priced preorders for "The World. The Flesh. The Devil" are now available here: both the CD and a CD/T-shirt bundle are available.
The tracklisting for "The World. The Flesh. The Devil" is as follows:
1. The World, The Flesh, The Devil
2. We Were Never Here
3. Serpents Are Rising
4. Poisoned, Blessed, and Burned
5. Demons
6. To Her Darkness
7. Dance of the Adversary
8. On Burning Paths
Decibel recently premiered "Serpents Are Rising," which you can check out here.
IN SOLITUDE has also been confirmed to play this year’s Maryland Death Fest marking the band’s first U.S. appearance. The band will be playing on Saturday, May 28th. Fans can get tickets to the Maryland Deathfest here.
In 2008, Sweden’s S.M.P. Records released the EP "Hidden Dangers" as a 7”, which quickly sold out. Under this same cycle, the band unleashed their nameless eight-song, full-length debut in the form of a CD on Pure Steel Records.

You know they're going for the KD thing, but you just can't deny that they do it well.
It's weird how Metal Blade seems to work this day - like "hmm occult doom looks like it could get big, quick sign two bands!" while someone like Shadow Kingdom has a whole roster of bands that are just as good but will probably never get half the marketing. Oh well hey I'm not really complaining, real metal for once!

Wow.....got some LA bomp at first but then get really classy. Melodic metal with a focus on guitars and melody. Old Mercyful Fate, old Judas Priest (which is where M. Fate came from anyway) and some progressions and sounds that remind me of mid-era Iron Maiden. I LOVE THIS. Give it a few listens... I like how bands are singing again too. I'm going to pre-order this actually.
