Solar Fragment Premieres New Song, "In Our Hands," Online

Metalunderground.com has obtained the exclusive premiere of power metal band Solar Fragment's title track off their upcoming album, "In Our Hands." You can stream the song in the player below. "In Our Hands," which is the follow up to the band's debut album "A Spark Of Deity," is due out on April 19th via Scarlet Records.

With vocalist Robert Leger's performance on "A Spark Of Deity" being compared to Blind Guardian's Hansi Kürsch, they have joined forces on the track "Inside The Circle" on this new album, making it an obvious highlight of this new album.

I'm sorry, but this song blows. I've heard 1000000 songs with the exact f***ing chord progressions, vocal progressions over those recycled chord progressions, and the folky acoustic opening riff I could name from like seven other better bands. Asmegin, Eluveitie and Arkona to name a few. Normally I'm really supportive of new material from bands. But I'm just getting disappointed by recycled material :[

I can see the Blind Guardian comparison in how he layers the vocals, but I feel the true genius of BG (and what this band lacks) is the composition and creativity of the music. All in all, I'm "eh" about this.

Well I don't think the song "blows" at all, it's not hugely original (sounds more like Tyr but yeah Blind Guardian too) but everything is in line. Halfway through listening I had something to do but decided to finish listening to the track first - that's always a good sign!

Kann mich den ersten zwei Kommentaren nicht anschließen. Ich finde der Sog kracht richtig und klingt nicht 08/15. Solider Power Metal und irgendwer muss ja mal das schwere Erbe von Blind Guardian langsam antreten!
Ich kann mit den meisten "neuen" Bands wenig anfangen, aber Solar Fragment treten Ärsche! :)
