Militia Comments On New Album "A Call To Arms" And Re-Release Of "The Sybling"
Militia has checked in with the following update about the re-release of "The Sybling" and the release of the band's new album:
"In just a few days, we will be receiving our copies of the long-awaited vinyl re-release of 'The Sybling,' entitled 'The Second Coming.' Consisting of the entire 'Sybling' EP, along with the 'Regiments of Death' and 'No Submission' demos, this project is released by High Roller Records & Metaleros Records. The tracks were remastered in January 2011 by Patrick W. Engel. This is a limited edition release of 1000 copies, 750 with black vinyl and 250 with silver vinyl. Also included is an A1 poster (23" x 33") featuring flier for many of Militia's shows from 1984 to 1986.
"The album will be available directly from Militia in the coming days. You can request to have your copy signed by all 5 original members. As soon as we work out the shipping price details, we will begin accepting orders. We can't give an exact date, but it will be very soon!! "The Second Coming" will close the book on Militia's early material. There are no future plans to re-release or re-record any of the songs from 1984 - 1986. Which brings us to Part 2 of this update...
"We are pleased to announce that Militia's first full-length album, entitled 'A Call To Arms' is closer than ever to completion!! Recording began in February and as of today, all drum tracks and nearly all guitar tracks are complete. Bass begins this week, along with guitar solos. All recording should be completed by the end of April, with a target release this Summer, 2011. 'A Call To Arms' will feature 11 new songs that contain a perfect blend of Thrash, Melodic, Power and Progressive Metal, and promises to pick up where Militia left off. The music for the new songs was written by the creative core of Militia's foundational sound, original guitarists Tony Smith & Jesse Villegas.
"We all look very forward to introducing the Metal world to the latest chapter of Militia! There are plans to unveil a preview of a song or two in advance of the official album release. Look for updates, they will be coming! As always, each one of us in Militia is grateful to every one of our friends and supporters. You are the ones who have made all of this possible! We say thank you! Metal!"
