Devildriver Bassist Jonathan Miller Quits The Band

Devildriver bass player Jonathan Miller has announced that he has decided to leave the band after nine years. A message from miller reads as follows:

"I just wanted to thank all of the DevilDriver fans around the world for their die-hard love and support for the past 9 years. Yesterday, I decided to leave DevilDriver. It was the most difficult decision of my life but it is something that I needed to do for myself. I had the best times of my life hanging out with all of you guys but it is time for me to move on. Much love to everyone."

Devildriver released their new album, "Beast," earlier this year and is set to head out on tour with Danzig and 2Cents in April.

I remember seeing that article about the rehab thing. I hope everything works out for him. Maybe if he levels back out, he might even come back. All the years of playing together has made that band tight. They were sick at Ozzfest last year and their new album is awesome.

Knock on wood or something n0thinghead to make sure that sh** doesn't happen. We're loosing bassists left and right we can't loose this one.

I'm sure the road is not the best place for someone fresh outta rehab to be. Haven't heard their latest but a few of their releases are pretty good. Dez tottally reinvented himself with DD.

Amazing run! Massive respect. Was always blown away by the windmills. On the prior tour which opened @ Slim's, SF (August 11, 2010) when there were problems with the bass rig @ the start of the set, Dez made sure everything was ok before continuing on (I thought: how cool!). Devildriver rule...I want to audition!

Whammy.

Good timing, especially after they just released the documentary about the band, solid group of fellas. Beast was a little bland..heavy but bland.

i think DD's great ES and RTB. tho their debut was much different and good by itself, i prefer their new approach from the fury and on. imo, it was a much better direction and needed improvement, cuz in the long run, DD's sound on the debut wouldn't have let them last this long.
