Caina Checks In With New Album Update

Caina has checked in with the following update about the recording process for the band's new album:

"I've recently been neglecting my email/comment/message/interview duties for a variety of reasons, but all seem to be along the same lines, so rather than looking like an ignorant bastard for not replying, I thought I'd post some quick responses to the most frequently asked questions here.

Q. When is the album coming out?
A. When it's finished. The principle recording is finished, and I am waiting for the final guest tracks to come in, whereupon the album will be mixed and sent for mastering. The ETA is ...soon.

Q. Which label will it be released on?
A. As usual, Canada's ground-breaking and beloved Profound Lore Records.

Q. I hear other people are on the album - who?
A. The guest artists on Hands that Pluck will be (in alphabetical order) my brother Jon Curtis-Brignell on bass, Neill Jameson (Imperial) of Krieg, Rennie Resmini of Starkweather and Chris Ross of Revenge/Blood Revolt/Axis of Advance - all on vocals.

Q. Is 2011 really the end of the Caina project?
A. Yes. The final releases will be the new full-length Hands that Pluck (with accompanying bonus EP Old Songs New Chords) and a split with UKBM band White Medal, as yet untitled and (at least my half) unrecorded.

Q. What are your plans after Caina's 'demise'? What are the musical projects that will follow Caina?
A. I have no immediate plans whatsoever to make or release any music commercially after the Caina project ends, regardless of any rumours to the contrary.

Q. Why are you ending the project?
A. No comment. Best guess wins a prize.

Q. When will the Will Over Worlds demos compilation CD (Legion Blotan Records) be out?
A. As soon as it returns from the plant. There was an error in the printing of the booklets and they have had to be redone, which has pushed back the release date. I will update the usual channels when the CD is available.

Q. Will there still be a t shirt to accompany this release?
A. Probably. I have submitted a design but as far as I know they have not been actioned yet.

Q. Is it true that you have a cat called Cupcake, and this name isn't ironic?
A. Yes.

"Please add any other questions you would like answered hereand I'll do my best to reply. Thanks for your interest and patience."
