Skeletonwitch Parts Ways With Drummer Derrick Nau, Statement Issued
Band Photo: Skeletonwitch (?)
Skeletonwitch has posted the following update online, announcing the addition of Tony Laureano to the band after the departure of drummer Derrick Nau:
"Our good friend Tony will be playing drums on our April tour, new album, and for the foreseeable future. We’re fucking stoked to have a drummer of his caliber and experience on board. He’s a beast behind the kit and a great fucking guy as well. You can’t ask for more than that!”
"After our last tour Derrick informed us that he is putting down the drum sticks and picking up the paint brush. He is returning to art school and does not wish to be a musician anymore. We would like to thank Derrick for his years of dedication to Skeletonwitch. Though we will miss him, there is no bad blood. We will always remain great friends and wish him the best with his new endeavor."
Skeletonwitch also recently announced upcoming tour dates with 3 Inches of Blood. Details are available at this location.

What doesnt make sense to me is, instead of being an accomplished musical artist who travels the world, drinks and parties, and hangs out with friends all day, listening to new bands and playing for gracious fans, but with little chance of economic fullfillment or security, he wants to be a regular artist, that does none of that great stuff, but still has no economic fullfillment or security....
Last time I talked with these dudes they were giddy about the fact that they met Pete f***in Sandoval from Morbid f***in Angel while on tour. Who the f*** is he gonna meet? Da Vinci? I hate to break it to ya pal, but the great "art" artists are all pretty much dead.
Look at me, I'm still hurt that he left so I'm lashing out. Whatever, I faked every orgasm. (no I didnt) :o

Tony laureno be damned. Skeletonwitch had drum pieces so good i would end up listening to them sometimes instead of the guitar the whole song. f***ing damnit. At least they got somebody of extreme musical caliber to replace him, but goddamnit nonetheless. f***ity f*** there goes my good morning.
