Nikki Sixx (Motley Crue, Sixx A.M.) is looking for a new rock band to mentor and sign. Sixx has even put out the email address: Nikki@sixxsense.com for anyone to contact him. I’ve created three email drafts, but stopped short of sending each because I’m unable to craft a message without referencing his jumpsuit craze during the Theatre of Pain years…

Frontier Records has signed Sebastian Bach (ex-Skid Row) to a record deal. Bach’s next album, due out this year promises (per Sebastian) to have the craziest screams he has ever recorded in his life. How crazy? Equal to the scream Charlie Sheen let out when he found out this week one of his porn stars/hookers was pregnant. That’s a crazy scream…

Stephen Pearcy (Ratt) is re-recording the song “Wanted Man” for Big John’s (yes, the Big John from Rock of Love) new bounty hunter reality show. So many questions about this show, but instead I keep thinking about the original video for “Wanted Man” and wonder if this was the same set later used for W.A.S.P.’s “Blind in Texas” video...

Guitarist Slash (Velvet Revolver, ex-Guns N Roses) is selling off his 1966 Stingray, fourteen guitars, and some of his top hats in auction form, with most of the benefits going to charity. I personally am holding out for the 2x4 wood plank used to prop up Slash during the Appetite days to become available for bidding…

The KISS coffin concept has been around for a while, but this week their merchandising firm has announced and made available two models of KISS coffins. Each will have the KISS logo on the head panels, but with slightly different designs. Wasn’t the decision to go with the KISS coffin enough? Now you have to pick fire versus Gene’s tongue? Maybe it’s just me, but if you are going to go into the coffin business, you either have one model or an entire line, there is no in between on this one…

Whitesnake has just released their video for the song “Love Will Set You Free” (you can view below). I was pleasantly surprised to say the least when five seconds into the video David Coverdale was performing his trademark “lift the base of the microphone stand over your head” and then thirty seconds into the video we see a woman in high heels and black stockings walking to a dressing room and then undressing into something a little more comfortable, a gold bikini top and bottom. The story then takes a predictable Whitesnake turn when the gold bombshell finds a pole and we learn that she is in fact a stripper. Bonus goes to the gold outfit and the “working of the pole” while the guitar solo (on a gold guitar) is being played. The second half of the video is somewhat convoluted with the stripper playing craps and roulette while the band is drinking wine named Whitesnake. As we approach the end we see letters being placed on a marquee that reads W H I T E; the video cuts to the end of the song and confetti is flying (they shot the video on New Year’s Eve?). Anyway (SPOILER ALERT), the video ends with the marquee that reads W H I T E F O X which may be the name of the stripper, or means nothing and this is the bands way of announcing they are going to embark on a strip club only tour. Either way, its win/win and overall not a bad video…

Sebastian Bach has not signed to Frontier Records, please check your facts. Frontier Records™ is a Southern Californian punk/alternative label that has been in business for 31 years. You probably mean Frontiers Records out of Italy.
