Enslaved Discusses New Album "Axioma Ethica Odini" In Guitar World
Guitarists Ivar Bjørnson and Ice Dale of the Norwegian progressive black metal band Enslaved are featured on Page 23 of the February 2011 issue of Guitar World.
"With [Axioma Ethica Odini], we wanted to get as close to our live sound as possible: urgent, upbeat and in your face," says Enslaved founding guitarist and main songwriter Ivar Bjørnson to journalist Henry Yuan. "This approach actually ended up leaving an open field for the more melodic and progressive parts, and, in a way, helped crystallize them." More information on the February 2011 issue of Guitar World is available here.
Enslaved's latest release, "Axioma Ethica Odini," debuted at #16 on the Billboard Heatseekers (New Artists) chart, #40 in the Current Hard Music Albums chart, and #72 on the Independent Current Albums chart the week following its release. Enslaved also recently announced an appearance at the upcoming Party.San Open Air Festival.
