Brazil's Shadowside has issued the following end-of-year band update:

"Merry Christmas, a Heavy New Year and 2010 thanks... First of all, we'd like to say a few words to express our gratitude for everything that happened in this year of 2010. Lots of great things came our way - successful releases, amazing shows and recently, our tour with W.A.S.P. in Europe. First and foremost, we would like to thank the FANS - without them, both the loyal old ones and the brand new that we recently made, nothing would be possible. It sounds like a pre-made cliché speech, but we live this reality day by day and you can be sure this is a heartfelt THANK YOU from a group of crazy musicians that truly cherish their fanbase. You guys ROCK!

"Also, we would like to thank all the promoters that we worked with this year, all the Shadowside crew and team worldwide and everyone in the W.A.S.P. team. To Blackie, Doug, Mike and Duda, to Velby, Marisa, Hans (our road angel!!!), Chris, Dirk, Patrick and Taz - our most sincere thank you for all the help, support, advices and the great opportunity to tour with a band that we always admired. We will never forget!

"To all the journalists, writers, photographers that supported us through out the year - there are not enough words to say how much we appreciate your support!

"And to everyone, including the ones we already mentioned here but also all musicians, music lovers and professionals - a very Merry Christmas and a HEAVY 2011 - may the New Year bring your dreams made real to all of you! DARE TO DREAM always, enjoy the holidays and we will see you all on the road very very soon!"
