Rob Halford Comments On Judas Priest Upcoming Retirement

Band Photo: Judas Priest (?)
Rob Halford, vocalist of heavy metal legends Judas Priest, commented on the forthcoming retirement of Judas Priest after nearly 40 years. Halford commented by saying:
"Well, they do say that all good things come to an end and that's probably the case in this case. But I'm delighted that, of course, the Halford [solo project] band is gonna be storming forward in the metal future, and that's gotta be good news.
"I've been doing this now for close to 40 years and it's a real thrill to think that I'm part of the roots of it all. Not just myself — many, many other people have been responsible for putting the whole heavy metal scene onto the map. It's as strong now as it's ever been."

I love Priest and have seen them many times and look forward to the farewell tour, but like the Metal God said the Halford band will be storming on in the future. I saw Halford with Ozzy this year and they rock just as hard as the mighty Priest. I'm grateful for everything Priest is and was but am thrilled that Rob is NOT calling it quits.
Whatever they all decide to do is their own business....Judas has given us PLENTY!!
ol robbie's voice is just not quite up to the Priest level anymore anyway....but he's a creative and prolific man, and i'm sure he'll continue to explore his wide ability
the only singer who has aged intact is the Airraid Siren Bruce....perhaps just a little something about looking after ones self, maybe?
good luck to the boys in their future endeavors, and thanks for the great tunes and fond memories!!
