Onward To Olympas Parts Ways With Guitarist/Vocalist Justin Gage and Enters The Studio

Onward To Olympas has issued the following update regarding the departure of their vocalist/guitarist Justin Gage and their progress on their new album:

"Hello everyone. We have this announcement today to mention a few things that we thought we should let you know about. First, we are entering the studio tomorrow and are beyond excited to record this new CD. We feel like a lot of you will enjoy it like we do. First off, we are here to inform you of the departure of our guitarist/clean vocalist, Justin Gage. Justin has been in this band from the start of the restoration of OTO, almost three years ago. He's helped out a lot financially, musically, and was involved a lot of the business aspect of the band. Justin has a great opportunity to go back to school and lead worship and be the youth pastor at a church. This was too good of an opportunity for him to pass up, so he is not able to tour with Onward To Olympas any longer."

"Following Justin leaving the band, we are thrilled to let everyone know that we have found a new guitarist/singer. His name is Andy Simmons. Andy has a big heart, is an awesome guy who is a very talented guitar player and singer. With Andy coming in, we have written our CD, and are ready to hit the studio to record the follow up to our debut album. In the studio we will be doing some video blogs keeping you updated with this next record."

"Playing drums in the studio will be our friend Nick Helvey. Nick has been awesome to help us write this CD and play some super sweet drum parts. We want to thank Nick for helping us out in this stressful time. We would also like the thank Anthony Fontaine for helping us out during the month of October, and for playing the show with us in Maryland. We are currently searching for a full time drummer so if you know anyone or would want to tryout for the band please send an email to otodrumtryout@gmail.com. Please know that you will be expected to be able to tour full time, and learn our songs as they are played on the current CD as well as the one that is about to be recorded."

"This time has been stressful but we have pushed forward to work harder than ever and will continue on. Our 2011 plans are to hit the road hard, and we hope find a drummer that is the perfect fit of the band. We'd like to thank Justin Gage and Nick Helvey for being there for this record and helping out. Can't wait to let you all hear the new stuff! Please check back for video blogs, updates, new songs, pre-orders and all the stuff coming for the future of Onward To Olympas."
