Slipknot Vocalist Corey Taylor Denies New Album Rumours

In a recent talk with Billboard.com, Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison stated that the band had begun work on their next studio album, their first without bassist Paul Gray, who passed away earlier this year. However, Slipknot's lead vocalist, Corey Taylor has a different take on the matter. After reading Jordison's comments, Taylor stated:
"Before anyone gets the wrong idea, let me be clear. I have NO PLANS to make a new Slipknot album any time soon. Shows? Maybe. Album? No. As for Joey's comments, he took that on himself to say that in print. I can think of 5 people in this band who haven't written/heard a thing."

pretty funny that he doesn't know what's going on. even funnier if joey's just talking outta his ass. tbh, i thought he would be the one to die from the band. he's just an ugly looking guy. i seriously thought he wouldda killed himself from depression or (besides being ugly, he's also quite creepy looking) snapped and killed the entire band, but somehow one wouldda gotten away and made a bad rock album.
im sorry im a die hard maggot till the end but corey sold out hes the only one that doesnt wanna keep doing it which either means hes making more money with stone sour or he never rele belive in it from the ghit gho and pual dying was just more of a reason to walk away from the band,wat i dont like is that there is no communication puals been dead since may and no one knos wats gonna happen to slipknot like can u guys take 20 minutes from ur apprently very busy lives sit down and make a consious decision so i can stop going into google news EVERY DAY praying that somthing new is happening?

Joey is always just ready to record, he is a project guy. Even to the point where he doesnt know when to stop, i.e. The Murderdolls. And Corey follows the money, thats all there is to it. He has a good enough cash cow going with stone sour and he doesnt have to split the money with 8 other people on top of it. Once it has been long enough for all the maggots that have been bursting from the seams, reading google news everyday *cough cough*, rocking backing and forth in the fetile position, they can do a "reunion" thats gonna send waves and drop a new album. So i foresee.....two more years, maybe year and a half.
I don't want to get on a rant here but I used to be a HUGE maggot, but now I don't really care for them for a couple reasons: 1) I've just realized there's much better stuff then theirs and 2) After Paul died they should have quit (which I would respect them a little more if they decide to). Now honestly I don't care if they make a new album or not, but if you all remember the song 'Till We Die from their last album. The obvious meaning in the song is that they will continue until one of them dies. If they keep going it obviously has to do with money, because they aren't even true to their own word. And I'm not defending Corey he has become a money whore. But about year ago I realized they weren't all about what they said they were about. Supposedly it's suppose to be faceless music, so they don't get famous. Well that didn't work. And many of you probably think it's hard to have a nameless, faceless band. But Deathspell Omega have been doing it for over a decade now and nobody even truly knows who the members are. That is true nameless, faceless music. But that's just my opinion and I could be wrong.
if anythnk joeys got a point th band will be stronger thn ever before yes thr will be times wen u will not carry on with record with out paul gray (r.i.p) but like corey sed in one of his interviews wot helped me everythng u feel right is temporary. but if joey did wot he did without leting th band in on ths he shud not hav done it.
but th real question is will paul gray wont u 2 carry on with slipknot.

By making that statement Corey confirms the suspicion that he's an a$$hole.
How can you make a statement like that about a guy you've been in band with for some 10years?? Hasn't Corey heard of the concept of "some things are better left unsaid"?

. . . maybe they've kicked him out, got a good vocalist that can scream and now they'll play good metal again. hell, if it's good, f*** corey!! lol and this is coming from a fairly die hard fan for yr.'s a while back. if the band realizes just how much of a cash cow he is, and how he's basically kinda the reason holding them back bc he can't scream as well and just writing pretty gay stone sour songs for slipknot, then might as well get someone else. sorry, just starting rumors now lol
