Amaranthe Posts New Recording Studio Blog

Amaranthe has checked in with the following update from the recording studio through CrankItUp.se:

"Hey everyone! After getting spammed by a bunch of you English speaking folks with confusing Google translations etc, we decided to write the next entrance in the studio diary in English instead!

"Life is pretty good here at Jacob Hansen's ranch, and the life we're living is not that far away from being farmers, except we milk clichéd chord progressions instead of cows ;) Or a little bit like serving a prison sentence - but spending all day recording metal (and drinking a few beers to!)

"Last week we finished up all the rhyhtm guitar tracks, and it is sounding pretty massive! I went for a nice 5150/ENGL fireball combo, and I am actually tracking 2 guitars only for every song instead of 4 or even 8. The sound is still HUGE, but much more personal than the average wall of guitars everyone's completely used to today. We're heading in the same direction with the drums, where we're only using triggers for the bass drum - all to get a more natural yet powerful feel to the final result!

"We got some new company today in the form of Elize, which means that vocal recording starts NOW! We will go on for a number of weeks doing that, and we'll post a bunch of video blogs of that, so you can all be part of the magic that's taking place here down at Hansen studios!"
