You might want to include some of the amazing musicians from The Cove.... Charles Hambleton, .....
You might want to record a few vocals at the Loma Vista Black-OPS Compound.
Just a thought....

They're fishing endangered species...IMO pretty noble cause to stop. If asking them to stop fishing endangered species isn't enough, then I too would blow their fvcking boats out of the water. The Earth and her species are far more important than a few whalers making a living. Go find a new job for fvck sakes.

ES: agree with active conservation of all marine species, including prudent (obviously sustainable) harvest of species with population numbers high enough to warrant such

don't buy into the sheep turd pirate's propaganda whilst condemning whale hunting outright

without pointing any fingers and neverminding any certain pacific island nation whose rash actions seem to comprimise the integrity of modern whale hunting in general, it is clear that the few remaining whaling countries have a pretty keen interest in managing very strictly the resourse of their livelihood and heritage.....whaling is a small fraction of what it was historically. But there will ALWAYS be poachers, those who violate, exceed, steal. These are criminals, as are those who interfere with the legal harvest of a wildlife quota

the sheep turds are idiots with ego deficit disorder---stupidity and desperation, together again!---no matter how misguided, if they can attract attention to themselves and beguile a gullable public into believing they are some sort of heroes, it is satisfying to their incredibly myopic 'righteous' agenda and sense of self importance

the sheep turds proper place in the sea is at the fvcking bottom, to be picked over and considered by the crabs and mollusks....now that would be a worthy sacrifice for the conceited punks to make to our great mother ocean, yes indeed

the harpoon man that puts them there will get a fighting Cheers from me, that is fvcking sure

if you want a true case of overfishing to worry over, consider to precipitous plight of the bluefin and other greater tuna who are being hammered into oblivion while so many greenhead bunnyhugging eco-critics gobble down their fvcking sashimi....and please don't frikken tell me 'they're only fish'

hippies and fcking hypocrites....oh ya, and flipper's sea pirates

the level of the public awareness and education concerning wildlife management is pitifully abyssmal, yet emotions and opinion run rampant....big fvcking surprise eh?

really, give me a goddamned break

ah hell anyway, cheers brother!

HR, I do agree with you about the GP's knowledge of wildlife conservation. Especially American's...(waits for angry mob to converge on him) it's pretty sad. I don't think anyone should be allowed to hunt anything unless they're using that animal for food/clothing etc and not wasting 3/4 of the animal for whatever reason. In my eyes the only people who really do hunting right is the Native tribes. They recognize the spirit within everything and express great gratitude for the animal who was sacrificed to feed and clothe many. This goes for all species brother...from the tuna you speak of...all the way down to the sharks being mutilated and thrown back into the ocean to bleed to death and be ripped apart by other predators. In my opinion, wildlife are not a commodity. They shouldn't be seen as dollar signs. They should be treated with as much love and respect as any human being (which is painfully obvious that most humans don't even love/respect other humans nevermind animals). As for Sea Shepherd....I don't think that violence and ignorance towards hunters/poachers is the best way to handle the situation. I think the best approach is the one that Ghandi took to get the British out of India. HOWEVER, non-compliance won't stop these blood thirsty business men...so what to do??? Surely the governments who are supported and funded by big business aren't going to start patrolling the waters more and monitoring/fining/imprisoning these guys. The governments have been handing tax breaks to the biggest globally destructive businesses for years, what makes you think they give two sh**s about sustainability? IMO, there's no options left to conserve the lives of these animals any other way.

well my brother, i think this subject is far too vast to broach here, but too touch on a couple of your points....

yes indeed, our american public is generally ignorant of far too much in general to be excused of, however, it was the US that ended the outright and commercial slaughter of our terrestrial fauna, recovered stocks of many big game species from the brink of extinction to the wonderfully plentiful numbers we have today, facilitated the development of nonexistant/underbudgeted wildlife programs by directing a percentage of all funds spent on hunting/fishing back to wildlife conservation----a practice that currently genearates nearly $800 million annually for this country's magnificent critters---and we hunters/fishers are more than happy to pay....try getting even 1% of that number for wildlife from the feds....ha!

ours is the most successful wildlife conservation model on this good earth.... which your good country recognized and adopted early on, with many other nations now wisely attempting to follow suit

as for the justifications for hunting and the 'natives'.....i am thoroughly disgusted by this romanticised fantasy about the purported 'virtue' of the native hunter. in this country, i can think of a mere handful of first nations tribes that manage their wildlife resources for sustainability...and about half of those learned how to do it from my family.

in my considerable experience, the indian attitude and action toward wildlife is among THE WORST anywhere.
my local tribe has tried to hire very qualified wildlife managers from various state game and fish agencies over the last years in an effort to 'appear up to speed'...ALL of their prospects have turned down the job, revolted by what these fvcking clowns do to their wildlife (decimate)

show me these spiritually connected native hunters who actually walk the fvcking walk, and don't just blow smoke about it (a long exploited indian charade)....but yes the northern coastal peoples probably approximate best this fabricated 'ideal'

finally, i take personal offense at the inference that the way i hunt is wrong, callous, or in any way immoral. you cannot presume to know what qualifies my connection and interaction with the natural world. everything there is sacred to me, it is my real home, and i do not desecrate my living place....a kill is not a conquest, it is a sacrifice in the full sense of the word----something all true hunters know intimately

the problem with whale hunting is that it is an international resource (NOT commodity) which is incredibly difficult to census, much less regulate all participants' harvest by 'outside' entities....the intn'l whaling communtity must pull itself together of its own volition

the sheepturds do fvcking nothing in this regard---their MO is speculative condemnation based on conjecture, their misappropriated actions contribute negatively to the issue at hand

DO NOT SUPPORT THEM

anyway my friend, hope all is well up in the super, natural north country!

HR, I do respect your knowledge on the matter and am very glad to hear that you hold very strict values regarding hunting. I wasn't meaning every native tribe, especially not American because I can only speak for those of whom I have witnessed personally up here in Canada. You're very correct though that most Native's today are very poor, un-educated, lazy etc. BUT, their cultural teachings from the past were not that way. A lot of the tribes up here are exactly as you described. Infact, most reservations are sewers. However, there are many that still live in a very secluded wildnerness lifestyle that is a very spiritual one to boot. THOSE are the natives I spoke of. Indeed, a forum thread is an inappropriate and certainly in-adequate place for this discussion. It was good while it lasted though! Take care brother.
